We hope this message finds you, your family and co-workers all in good health. Hopefully, your business hasn't suffered too much disruption over the past few months.
 
2020 has been an interesting year for everyone. At Honeycomb, we rarely have clients visit our office, but never have so few dropped by to say hello. Since March, we've had four clients visit us, and no staff in the office. Eventually, it dawned on even the most stubborn (me) that we did not require office space to work (together) or attract new clients.

Officially as of December 1st, Honeycomb Creative will be a 100% remote company. Unofficially, we've been out of our office since mid-October, and nobody noticed. There will likely be a time when we will have office space again, but that will be post-COVID.

Working remote, our workflow hasn't changed much because we were on two floors in our studio, we regularly used Slack for messages and quick video chats. Now, we use the same tools more often. We've converted our phone system to VOIP to transfer calls to employees working from home and expanded our search for additional employees beyond driving distance to our office. We're excited to be able to find additional North American co-workers.

Our goal of providing responsive service to all clients has not changed. For clients, very little is different beyond a street address update for checks and couriers. With everyone becoming more comfortable with Zoom, Google Hangouts/Meet, Skype and FaceTime, we'll likely 'see' clients more often.

We are fortunate to have been busy with new clients and upgrades for existing projects throughout the year. But we can still find time for more work - so if you know anyone who needs a new website or wants to update their marketing materials, please send them our way. We'll treat them well.
